Deep down in the ocean
where fish swim about,
do sharks ever poop?
Let me help you find out!
I've got the full scoop and I'll share it with you!
This story is stinky,
I mean it's P.U.!
Sammy's my name
and I've got a big grin.
I'm chubby and blue
with a very big fin.
As I swim through the reef,
I'm starting to feel β¦
a rumble that tells me
it's time for a meal!
I open my mouth
(I have SO many teeth!)
And scoop up a fish
from the coral beneath.
I gulp the whole thing!
Not a single bite chewed.
I do this for breakfast β
now don't be a prude!
The fish slides right down
through a tunnel inside,
past bubbles and gurgles β
a squishy dark ride!
He lands β KER-SPLASH β
in a bubbly warm pool,
and yells, "HEY! LET ME OUT!
This is NOT very cool!"
But HERE is the part
that'll blow off your fins β¦
Deep inside every shark,
a SPIRAL begins!
The fish hits the top,
looks down and cries "WHEEEEE!"
Fifty loop-de-loops later β
spinning wild and free!
The ride finally ends.
The fish is transformed.
My belly starts rumbling.
My insides feel warm.
I wiggle. I jiggle.
My body knows BEST.
My body says, "SAMMY!
Release all the REST!"
I give a big push
and I finally POOP!
A cloud big and green
and the whole ocean DROOPS!
A stink balloon spreading
out through the sea β
the fish swim away
and the crabs try to flee!
The ocean gets cloudy.
The water turns green.
It's stinky and funky β
if you know what I mean.
But ME? I feel GREAT!
Lighter than air!
I can swim through the reef
without even a care.
But hold on a second β
look closer with me β¦
That poop cloud is HELPING
the fish and the sea!
Teeny tiny creatures
come swimming with glee,
munching on poop β
it's a feast thanks to me!
Poop becomes food
for the plankton below,
who get eaten by fish
as they swim to and fro!
And THOSE fish feed ME,
so I'll eat and I'll poop,
round and round
in a poopy-de-loop!
So YES, sharks poop
in the ocean. It's true!
It's awesome! And YOUR poop?
That's awesome too!
Every creature that poops
helps the world go around β
we're all POOP HEROES!
Stand up! Make a sound!
The cheering dies down,
and the reef starts to hushβ¦
The ocean grows quiet β
no ripple, no rush.
The stars light the water,
I'm drifting away,
so happy, so sleepy β
what a wonderful day!
Tomorrow I'll scoop
and I'll poop once again,
But tonight? Goodnight ocean.
Goodnight, my friend.
